My mother asked me to make a Christmas Wish List for our family. I used to do this when I was younger to help give my mom the obvious answer for what I wanted my parents to get me for Christmas that year. I would provide some sort of word document or slideshow including a picture of the exact item I wanted, provide the store(s) it could be purchased from, the price, and my size if applicable (I am a very subtle person if you couldn’t tell.)

I was actually extremely excited to complete this task because I had no clue about what I wanted, I mean besides the obvious (fluffy socks, VS underwear, new Sonicare, and a white Range Rover with the red interior- although I suppose I would settle for a Porsche Cheyenne- Sport edition, obviously.)

After thinking long and hard, please forgive me this is going to get cheesy, I decided I wished my entire family could be together for Christmas. Like, actually together. With my brother and sister-in-law living in Florida and moving to Virginia in December and my little family living in KS and moving to CO in December, it’s pretty impossible to make this wish come true. Not to mention the fact that with so many different parts of the family it seems like there is always an endless amount of driving to each house. If i actually counted up the number of places we should be going to it’s usually around 7 separate events, and that’s just family.

I know that I am not the only person who has a lot of places to be over the holidays. I mean I talked to a woman in line the other day who has 15 family related Thanksgivings coming up-like seriously? Don’t get me wrong I love all of the people we get to spend time with but, sometimes I wish we could just stay home with one another, not rush around, no stressing out, and enjoy ourselves for the day. I wish I could teleport my parents, and brother and sister-in-law, and a few other pretty awesome people and hire a magical cook and cleaner to provide all of that stuff and just cherish one another effortlessly, isn’t that what its all about anyway?
